Burnt Store Meadows is a deed-restricted community located in the southern section of Punta Gorda and Charlotte County. It offers newer, Florida-style homes in a quiet environment that beckons to both young and old. Park-like, association maintained green belts are located behind each home. The tropical birds and nature that traverses the green belts is almost unparalleled in this area. They are not a "once in a while" sight but an everyday one.
The Meadows’ location is one of it's strongest attributes with very quick access to three of Charlotte County's most important roads. Burnt Store Road borders the community to the west while U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) forms the northwest border. Burnt Store Road offers a linear, quick route to Cape Coral and U.S. 41 is the main road of both Punta Gorda and Ft. Myers to the south. Burnt Store Meadows also is within a 5 minute drive of I-75.
Burnt Store Meadows offers a Property Owners Association that is elected by the property owners. The Board conducts monthly meetings and has an annual dinner business meeting in October. The current annual dues are $95 per year. There is also a Neighborhood Watch program in effect within the community.
Real estate opportunities in Burnt Store Meadows consist of single family homes completed yesterday to ones completed up to twenty years ago. Most have open floor plans with lots of windows and sliding glass doors which lead to a lanai that may or may not have a pool. The homes are custom-built so very few are exactly the same. There are also condominiums and vacant lots. Homes start in the low $100,000’s while vacant lots start at about $10,000.
